BNV : দায়ূদ চলে গেলেন| য়োনাথন শহরে ফিরে এলো|
KJV : Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why [art] thou alone, and no man with thee?
YLT : And David cometh in to Nob, unto Ahimelech the priest, and Ahimelech trembleth at meeting David, and saith to him, `Wherefore [art] thou thyself alone, and no man with thee?`
RV : Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech came to meet David trembling, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?
RSV : Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest; and Ahimelech came to meet David trembling, and said to him, "Why are you alone, and no one with you?"
ASV : Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech came to meet David trembling, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?
ESV : Then David came to Nob to Ahimelech the priest. And Ahimelech came to meet David trembling and said to him, "Why are you alone, and no one with you?"
ERVEN : Then David left and Jonathan went back to the town. David went to the town named Nob to see Ahimelech the priest. Ahimelech went out to meet David. He was afraid of David and asked, "Why are you alone? Why isn't anyone with you?"

BNV : দায়ূদ নোব শহরে যাজক অহীমেলকের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে গেলেন|অহীমেলক দাযূদের সঙ্গে দেখা করতে বেরিয়ে এলেন| তিনি তো ভয়ে কাঁপছিলেন| তিনি দায়ূদকে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, “কি ব্যাপার, তুমি একা কেন? তোমার সঙ্গে কাউকে দেখছি না কেন?”
KJV : And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed [my] servants to such and such a place.
YLT : And David saith to Ahimelech the priest, `The king hath commanded me a matter, and he saith unto me, Let no man know anything of the matter about which I am sending thee, and which I have commanded thee; and the young men I have caused to know at such and such a place;
RV : And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed the young men to such and such a place.
RSV : And David said to Ahimelech the priest, "The king has charged me with a matter, and said to me, `Let no one know anything of the matter about which I send you, and with which I have charged you.' I have made an appointment with the young men for such and such a place.
ASV : And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know anything of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed the young men to such and such a place.
ESV : And David said to Ahimelech the priest, "The king has charged me with a matter and said to me, 'Let no one know anything of the matter about which I send you, and with which I have charged you.' I have made an appointment with the young men for such and such a place.
ERVEN : David answered him, "The king gave me a special order. He told me, 'Don't let anyone know about this mission. No one must know what I told you to do.' I told my men where to meet me.

BNV : দায়ূদ বললেন, “রাজা আমাকে একটি বিশেষ আদেশ দিয়েছেন| তিনি আমাকে বলেছেন, ‘এই আসার উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে তুমি কাউকে কিছু জানাবে না| আমি তোমাকে কি বলছি কেউ যেন জানতে না পারে|’ আমার লোকদের বলছি কোথায় ওরা আমার সঙ্গে দেখা করবে|
KJV : Now therefore what is under thine hand? give [me] five [loaves of] bread in mine hand, or what there is present.
YLT : and now, what is there under thy hand? five loaves give into my hand, or that which is found.`
RV : Now therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or whatsoever there is present.
RSV : Now then, what have you at hand? Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever is here."
ASV : Now therefore what is under thy hand? give me five loaves of bread in my hand, or whatsoever there is present.
ESV : Now then, what do you have on hand? Give me five loaves of bread, or whatever is here."
ERVEN : Now, what food do you have with you? Give me five loaves of bread or whatever you have to eat."

BNV : এখন বলো, তোমার সঙ্গে কি খাবার আছে? তোমার কাছে থাকলে পাঁচটি গোটা রুটি আমাকে দাও, না হলে অন্য কিছু খেতে দাও|”
KJV : And the priest answered David, and said, [There is] no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
YLT : And the priest answereth David, and saith, `There is no common bread under my hand, but there is holy bread; if the youths have been kept only from women.`
RV : And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women.
RSV : And the priest answered David, "I have no common bread at hand, but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women."
ASV : And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under my hand, but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women.
ESV : And the priest answered David, "I have no common bread on hand, but there is holy bread- if the young men have kept themselves from women."
ERVEN : The priest said to David, "I don't have any ordinary bread here, but I do have some of the Holy Bread. Your officers can eat it if they have not had sexual relations with any women."

BNV : যাজক বললেন, “আমার কাছে তো সাধারণ কোন রুটি নেই, কিন্তু পবিত্র রুটি আছে| তোমার লোকরা তা খেতে পারে, অবশ্য যদি কোন নারীর সঙ্গে তাদের য়ৌন সম্পর্ক না থেকে থাকে|”
KJV : And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women [have been] kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and [the bread is] in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
YLT : And David answereth the priest, and saith to him, `Surely, if women have been restrained from us as heretofore in my going out, then the vessels of the young men are holy, and it [is] a common way: and also, surely to-day it is sanctified in the vessel.`
RV : And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days; When I came out, the vessels of the young men were holy, though it was but a common journey; how much more then today shall their vessels be holy?
RSV : And David answered the priest, "Of a truth women have been kept from us as always when I go on an expedition; the vessels of the young men are holy, even when it is a common journey; how much more today will their vessels be holy?"
ASV : And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days; when I came out, the vessels of the young men were holy, though it was but a common journey; how much more then to-day shall their vessels be holy?
ESV : And David answered the priest, "Truly women have been kept from us as always when I go on an expedition. The vessels of the young men are holy even when it is an ordinary journey. How much more today will their vessels be holy?"
ERVEN : David answered the priest, "We have not been with any women. My men keep their bodies holy every time we go out to fight, even on ordinary missions. And this is especially true today."

BNV : দায়ূদ যাজককে বললেন, “না, এরকম কোন ব্যাপার নেই|” যুদ্ধে যাবার সময় এবং সাধারণ কাজের সময়ও তারা তাদের দেহগুলিকে শুদ্ধ রাখে| তাছাড়া এখন আমরা একটি বিশেষ কাজে এসেছি, সুতরাং অশুদ্ধ থাকার প্রশ্নই ওঠে না|”
KJV : So the priest gave him hallowed [bread:] for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.
YLT : And the priest giveth to him the holy thing, for there was no bread there except the bread of the Presence which is turned aside from the presence of Jehovah to put hot bread in the day of its being taken away.
RV : So the priest gave him holy {cf15i bread}: for there was no bread there but the shewbread, that was taken from before the LORD, to put hot bread in the day when it was taken away.

ERVEN : There was no bread except the Holy Bread, so the priest gave David that bread. This was the bread that the priests put on the holy table before the Lord. Each day they took this bread away and put fresh bread in its place.

BNV : পবিত্র রুটি ছাড়া সেখানে অন্য কোন রুটি ছিল না| যাজক দায়ূদকে তা-ই দিলেন| এই রুটিই তারা প্রভুর সামনে পবিত্র টেবিলে রেখে দিত| প্রতিদিন তারা এগুলো বদলে টাটকা রুটি রেখে দিত|
KJV : Now a certain man of the servants of Saul [was] there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name [was] Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that [belonged] to Saul.
YLT : And there [is] a man of the servants of Saul on that day detained before Jehovah, and his name [is] Doeg the Edomite, chief of the shepherds whom Saul hath.
RV : Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; and his name was Doeg the Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul.
RSV : Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; his name was Doeg the Edomite, the chief of Saul's herdsmen.

ESV : Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD. His name was Doeg the Edomite, the chief of Saul's herdsmen.
ERVEN : One of Saul's officers was there that day. He was Doeg the Edomite, the leader of Saul's shepherds. He had been kept there before the Lord.

BNV : সেদিন সেখানে শৌলের একজন অনুচর উপস্থিত ছিল| সে ছিল ইদোম বংশীয়, তার নাম দোযেগ| সে ছিল শৌলের প্রধান মেষপালক| দোযেগকে সেখানে প্রভুর সামনে রাখা হয়েছিল|
KJV : And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.
YLT : And David saith to Ahimelech, `And is there not here under thy hand spear or sword? for neither my sword nor my vessels have I taken in my hand, for the matter of the king was urgent.`
RV : And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king-s business required haste.
RSV : And David said to Ahimelech, "And have you not here a spear or a sword at hand? For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business required haste."
ASV : And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thy hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the kings business required haste.
ESV : Then David said to Ahimelech, "Then have you not here a spear or a sword at hand? For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business required haste."
ERVEN : David asked Ahimelech, "Do you have a spear or sword here? The king's business is very important. I had to leave quickly, and I didn't bring my sword or any other weapon."

BNV : দায়ূদ অহীমেলককে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, “তোমার কাছে কি বল্লম বা তরবারি কিছু একটা আছে| রাজার কাজটা জরুরি তাই তাড়াতাড়িতে আমি সঙ্গে কোনো তরবারি বা অস্ত্রশস্ত্র আনি নি|”
KJV : And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it [is here] wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take [it:] for [there is] no other save that here. And David said, [There is] none like that; give it me.
YLT : And the priest saith, `The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou didst smite in the valley of Elah, lo, it is wrapt in a garment behind the ephod, if it thou dost take to thyself, take; for there is none other save it in this [place].` And David saith, `There is none like it -- give it to me.`
RV : And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slowest in the vale of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.
RSV : And the priest said, "The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod; if you will take that, take it, for there is none but that here." And David said, "There is none like that; give it to me."
ASV : And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the vale of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it; for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.
ESV : And the priest said, "The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you struck down in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take it, for there is none but that here." And David said, "There is none like that; give it to me."
ERVEN : The priest answered, "The only sword here is the sword of Goliath the Philistine. It is the sword you took from him when you killed him in the Valley of Elah. That sword is behind the ephod, wrapped in a cloth. You may take it if you want to." David said, "Goliath's sword—there's not another one like it. Give it to me."

BNV : যাজক বললেন, “এখানে তো মাত্র একটাই তরবারি আছে, সেটা পলেষ্টীয় গলিযাতের তরবারি| তুমি এলা উপত্যকায তাকে হত্যা করার সময় ওর হাত থেকেই এটা কেড়ে নিয়েছিলে| ওটা কাপড়ে মুড়ে এফোদের পেছনে রাখা আছে| ইচ্ছা হলে এটা তুমি নিয়ে যেতে পারো|”দায়ূদ বললেন, “ওটাই তুমি আমাকে দাও| গলিযাতের তরবারির মতো তরবারি আর কোথাও পাওয়া যাবে না|”
KJV : And David arose, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.
YLT : And David riseth and fleeth on that day from the face of Saul, and cometh in unto Achish king of Gath;
RV : And David arose, and fled that day for fear of Saul, and went to Achish the king of Gath.

BNV : সেদিন শৌলের কাছ থেকে দায়ূদ পালিয়ে গেলেন| তিনি গাতের রাজা আখীশের কাছে গেলেন|
KJV : And the servants of Achish said unto him, [Is] not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
YLT : and the servants of Achish say unto him, `Is not this David king of the land? is it not of this one they sing in dances, saying, `Saul smote among his thousands, and David among his myriads?`
RV : And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?
RSV : And the servants of Achish said to him, "Is not this David the king of the land? Did they not sing to one another of him in dances, `Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands'?"
ASV : And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands?
ESV : And the servants of Achish said to him, "Is not this David the king of the land? Did they not sing to one another of him in dances, 'Saul has struck down his thousands, and David his ten thousands'?"
ERVEN : Achish's officers said, "Isn't this David, the king of the land of Israel? He is the one the Israelites sing about. They dance and sing this song about him: "Saul has killed thousands of enemies, but David has killed tens of thousands."

BNV : আখীশের অনুচররা এটা ভাল মনে করলো না| তারা বলল, “ইনি হচ্ছেন দায়ূদ, ইস্রায়েলের রাজা| এঁকে নিয়েই ওদের লোকেরা গান গায| ওরা নেচে নেচে এই গানটা করে: “দায়ূদ মেরেছে শত্রু অয়ুতে অয়ুতে শৌল তো কেবল হাজারে হাজারে|”
KJV : And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore afraid of Achish the king of Gath.
YLT : And David layeth these words in his heart, and is exceedingly afraid of the face of Achish king of Gath,

ERVEN : David paid close attention to what they said. He was afraid of King Achish of Gath,

BNV : তাদের কথাগুলো দায়ূদ বেশ মন দিয়ে শুনলেন| গাতের রাজা আখীশকে তিনি ভয় করতে লাগলেন|
KJV : And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.
YLT : and changeth his behaviour before their eyes, and feigneth himself mad in their hand, and scribbleth on the doors of the gate, and letteth down his spittle unto his beard.
RV : And he changed his behaviour before them, and feigned himself mad in their hands, and scrabbled on the doors of the gate, and let his spittle fall down upon his beard.

ERVEN : so he pretended to be crazy in front of Achish and his officers. While David was with them, he acted like a crazy man. He spat on the doors of the gate. He let spit fall down his beard.

BNV : শেষে আখীশ ও তার অনুচরদের সামনে দায়ূদ পাগলের ভান করলেন| ওদের কাছে তিনি ইচ্ছে করে পাগলামি করতে লাগলেন| তিনি দরজায থুতু ছিটাতে লাগলেন| তাঁর দাড়ি দিয়ে থুতু গড়াতে দিলেন|
KJV : Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore [then] have ye brought him to me?
YLT : And Achish saith unto his servants, `Lo, ye see a man acting as a madman; why do ye bring him in unto me?
RV : Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me?
RSV : Then said Achish to his servants, "Lo, you see the man is mad; why then have you brought him to me?
ASV : Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad; wherefore then have ye brought him to me?
ESV : Then Achish said to his servants, "Behold, you see the man is mad. Why then have you brought him to me?
ERVEN : Achish said to his officers, "Look at the man! He is crazy. Why did you bring him to me?

BNV : আখীশ তার অনুচরদের বলল, “আরে লোকটাকে দেখো, সত্যি মাথা খারাপ| একে আমার কাছে এনেছ কেন?
KJV : Have I need of mad men, that ye have brought this [fellow] to play the mad man in my presence? shall this [fellow] come into my house?
YLT : A lack of madmen [have] I, that ye have brought in this one to act as a madman by me! doth this one come in unto my house?`
RV : Do I lack mad men, that ye have brought this fellow to play the mad man in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house?
RSV : Do I lack madmen, that you have brought this fellow to play the madman in my presence? Shall this fellow come into my house?"
ASV : Do I lack madmen, that ye have brought this fellow to play the madman in my presence? shall this fellow come into my house?
ESV : Do I lack madmen, that you have brought this fellow to behave as a madman in my presence? Shall this fellow come into my house?"
ERVEN : I have enough crazy men. I don't need you to bring this man to my house to act crazy in front of me. Don't let this man come into my house again."
